By installing or using the QR Guardian Android application (“the app”), or by using this website (“the site”), you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site and uninstall the app. These terms are effective as of July 31, 2026 and are provided by Veritas Digital LLC.

QR Guardian scans QR codes and barcodes and analyzes their content to estimate risk — phishing, malware and similar threats — using on-device analysis and, if you opt in, Google Safe Browsing. The app is free, carries no advertising, and requires no account. It is sustained by voluntary donations. Security features are free for everyone; protection is never paywalled.

Security analysis is probabilistic. A SAFE verdict does not guarantee that a link is harmless, and a CAUTION or DANGER verdict may be a false positive. An UNVERIFIED verdict means the analysis could not reach a conclusion. No scanner can detect every threat, and QR Guardian does not claim to.

You remain finally responsible for deciding which links you open, which networks you join, and which actions you execute. QR Guardian is not a substitute for your own judgment or for antivirus software.

Do not use the app or the site for illegal activity. Do not use the generator to create QR codes with malicious, illegal or deceptive content. Do not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse the operation of the app, the site, or the services they rely on.

The content of this site is provided for general information about the app. We work to keep it accurate, but it is provided as-is and may change without notice. Automated bulk scraping of the site and any use that disrupts its operation are not permitted.

Data handling is governed by our privacy policy. In summary: scan history and images stay on your device; scanned URLs are checked against Google Safe Browsing only if you opt in; no advertising identifier is used and no data is shared with advertising networks; this site uses no analytics and no marketing cookies.

The app, the “QR Guardian” name and logo, this site and their content are the property of Veritas Digital LLC. QR codes you generate from your own content are yours — we claim no rights over them.

The app shows no advertising and contains no advertising SDK. It is sustained by donations made via PayPal, which are voluntary, non-refundable, and unlock no additional features — every security feature is available to every user regardless of whether they donate.

The app and the site are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veritas Digital LLC is not liable for damages arising from use of the app or the site, including damages caused by opening links or joining networks despite — or in the absence of — a warning from the analysis.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update the app or these terms; material changes will be published at this address with a new date at the top. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it — doing so deletes all your locally stored data, because your data exists nowhere else.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the domicile of Veritas Digital LLC, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you hold under the laws of your own jurisdiction.
